Kaitlin is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern specializing in Play Therapy and Activity Therapy for children and preadolescents with a variety of presenting concerns. Kaitlin also works frequently with adolescents and adults in the context of traditional psychotherapy. Her experience working in agency and hospital settings has allowed her to gain comprehensive training in treating clients struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, divorce, self-esteem, behavioral concerns, and child/parent relationship concerns. She works to meet her clients where they are, supporting their growth toward increased self-awareness, emotional regulation, and reducing their overall distress in a safe, nonjudgmental space. Kaitlin strongly values acceptance, empathy, and genuineness in all of her therapeutic relationships.
Kaitlin earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas, where she trained in Play Therapy, Group Play Therapy, Activity Therapy, Filial Therapy, Group Counseling, and Crisis Intervention. Prior to joining Therapy Dallas, Kaitlin trained at Cook Children’s Medical Center and at multiple outpatient and inpatient settings, where she gained extensive experience in treating children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of emotional and behavioral concerns.
