
Eliza Wagley is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and National Certified Counselor specializing in evidenced-based intervention for children and adolescents with a variety of emotional and behavioral concerns. She also enjoys providing evidence-based talk therapy for young adults. Eliza’s primary areas of specialty include Play Therapy, Family Play Therapy, Activity Therapy, Child-Parent Relationship Training (CPRT), and individualized Parent Consultation. She collaborates frequently with psychiatrists, teachers, family members, and other health professionals to provide intentional and effective care.
Eliza’s approach to therapy is authentic and compassionate. She values the therapeutic relationship as the most important aspect of therapy and will provide an atmosphere where you and/or your child will feel safe, accepted, and empowered. Eliza believes that you already hold the strengths to fulfill your desired goals; her role is to thoughtfully guide you to discover and employ these internal strengths.
Eliza received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. During her practicum experience at SMU Center for Family Counseling, Eliza worked with children, adolescents, and parents with a wide range of concerns. Thereafter, she completed her clinical internship at Children’s Medical Center Dallas, where across both inpatient and outpatient settings, she provided evidence-based play therapy for children with chronic medical illnesses. While at Children’s, she also provided concurrent parent consultation and CPRT, thereby offering integrated care for children and their families.
