
Dr. Edgemon is a licensed psychologist specializing in individual and family-based interventions for children, adolescents, and adults. Her primary areas of specialty include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression and anxiety and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for children and adolescents who struggle with emotional and/or behavioral difficulties resulting from trauma. Additionally, she is experienced in providing intervention for suicidality and nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI). Dr. Edgemon’s clinical training and education have provided her the opportunity to work and consult with psychiatrist, teachers, family members, and other health professionals across a variety of setting including hospitals, outpatient psychological clinics, and schools.
Dr. Edgemon received her doctoral degree from the APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Program at Palo Alto University, where she worked with children, adolescents, and adults across clinical rotations in a variety of therapeutic environments. She completed her APA-accredited Predoctoral Internship in Sexual Assault and Trauma Services at Centerstone Consortium, where she specialized in treating children, adolescents, and adults with mental health needs as a result of traumatic experiences. During her APA-accredited Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Child Psychology at Children’s Health, she further specialized in treating adolescents struggling with depression and suicidality, providing evidence-based individual and group-based therapeutic interventions to teens and families.
