Dr. Nguyen (formerly Owen) is a licensed psychologist specializing in individual and family-based interventions for children, adolescents, and adults.  Her primary areas of specialty include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and depression, and Parent Consultation for a variety of  emotional and behavioral difficulties.  Her clinical training has provided the opportunity to work with a variety of patient populations in many different settings, including hospitals, outpatient psychological clinics, and medical clinics with children and adolescents with chronic medical conditions.

Dr. Nguyen received her doctoral degree from the APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Graduate Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she worked with children, adolescents, and adults across clinical rotations in a variety of therapeutic environments.  She subsequently completed her APA-accredited Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Child Psychology at Children’s Health/Children’s Medical Center, where she specialized in evaluation of children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders, including anxiety, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and Bipolar Disorder.  Throughout her work at Children’s, Dr. Nguyen also provided evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and families across multiple medical clinics.
