Amber is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist specializing in Play Therapy, Activity therapy, and Talk therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults. Her areas of specialty include working with grief across the lifespan, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and depression, treating clients struggling with perfectionism and self-esteem, and providing Autplay Therapy for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).   Additionally, she is trained in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions; Yale Child Studies Center), an evidence-based parent-based treatment program for parents of children with anxiety and/or OCD.

Believing every client to be unique, she utilizes a variety of modalities including sand tray therapy, expressive arts, self-compassion work, and mindfulness to provide a tailored approach for each individual. Her passion for building authentic therapeutic relationships fosters clients’ self-exploration and growth, enabling them to turn suffering into strength and to find healthy life balance.

Amber earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania, where she studied and trained in Play Therapy, Group Counseling, and Activity Therapy. Amber’s clinical experience comes from working with adults and adolescents in inpatient hospitals, PHP/IOP programs, and outpatient settings.
