Dr. Brittany Grimshaw is a licensed psychologist specializing in evidence-based intervention for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from a systems perspective to help youth and their families manage emotions, address school or behavior issues, build identity and self-esteem, navigate family conflict, and cope with trauma or significant life changes. Her approach is warm, practical, and collaborative, with a focus on building resilience, improving communication, and supporting healthy relationships. Dr. Grimshaw is also trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidence-based intervention for young children with behavioral challenges. Through PCIT, she helps families reduce behavioral difficulties while strengthening the parent-child relationship.

Dr. Grimshaw completed her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University, where she developed a strong foundation in child and adolescent treatment through a trauma-informed lens. She has worked with youth and families in both school and community settings, providing individual, group, and family therapy.  Prior to officing at Therapy Dallas, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Youth Services Department of Palm Beach County, where she delivered outpatient and residential treatment for children and families. She also designed and led trainings for clinicians and community organizations, focusing on practical, evidence-based approaches to youth mental health.

Having grown up in North Texas, Dr. Grimshaw is excited to return home and support young people in her community.  In collaboration with Therapy Dallas, she is a dedicated advocate for youth mental health, committed to using evidence-based tools and compassionate care to help children, teens, and young adults thrive.

Dr. Grimshaw is licensed in Texas and is able to practice telepsychology in any/all PYSPACT-participating states
