Robert Strickland is a graduate student in Southern Methodist University’s Master of Science in Counseling program and has joined Therapy Dallas as a volunteer Private Practice Intern. His clinical interests lie in working with children, adolescents, and their families, and in helping youth navigate the challenges that come with adolescence and beyond. Specifically, Robert is training to specialize in evidence-based interventions for anxiety and ADHD, and in related interventions for enhancing self-esteem and family relationships.
Robert earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Sewanee: The University of the South, where he worked as a research assistant and received the Psychology Department’s Award for Research Excellence. His professional experience includes working as a Registered Behavior Technician with children in behavioral and youth-development settings, wherein he supports young people with a range of developmental, behavioral, social, and emotional needs.
